Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This affinity purified antibody is directed against the FLAG epitope tag and is useful for detecting its presence in overexpressed proteins in various assays. It recognizes the FLAG epitope tag (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) fused to either the amino- or carboxy-termini of targeted proteins in transfected or transformed cells.
Target Information
DYKDDDDK tag, also known as FLAG tag, is a short peptide sequence commonly used for protein purification, detection, and localization. The tag consists of eight amino acids (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) and is fused to the N- or C-terminus of a protein of interest, enabling easy identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies. Widely used in molecular biology and biochemistry for protein-protein interaction studies, expression analysis, and localization. The FLAG tag is hydrophilic, minimizing protein denaturation or inactivation.
