Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 2–8°C prior to opening.
- May aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage.
- Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

- RTU Anti-Pdcd4 antibody is directed against human Pdcd4 protein.
- BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with Pdcd4 from human, mouse, rat, and Xenopus (100% homology).
- Reacts with phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated Pdcd4 at Ser457.
Target Information
Apoptosis (programmed cell death) plays key roles in development, tissue turnover, and tumor formation. PDCD4 (Programmed Cell Death Protein 4) is a tumor suppressor whose expression is lost in several carcinomas (breast, colon, lung, prostate). It inhibits helicase activity of eIF4A and AP-1-mediated transcription. Akt kinase regulates PDCD4 via phosphorylation, modulating its inhibitory function. Two isoforms of PDCD4 are known.
