Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

Glucocorticoid Receptor (NR3C1) acts as both a transcription factor and a regulator of other transcription factors. It exists in cytoplasmic complexes with heat shock proteins and immunophilins, translocating to the nucleus upon ligand binding.
It is expressed in multiple heart tissues including atria, ventricles, aorta, and septum.
Alternate splicing and promoter usage yield several transcript variants.
Mutations in NR3C1 cause glucocorticoid resistance. GR binds steroids such as dexamethasone with nanomolar affinity and requires chaperone complexes for activation.
