Antibody detects endogenous levels of EPHA2 only when phosphorylated at Thr587.
Target Information
EPHA2 belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein tyrosine kinase family. EPH and EPH-related receptors are involved in developmental processes, especially within the nervous system. EPHA2 is overexpressed in various human cancers. Tyrosine kinase (TK) proteins regulate cell-cell interactions such as differentiation, adhesion, motility, and apoptosis. Approximately 90 TK genes have been sequenced, including 58 receptor TKs (e.g., EGFR, EPH, FGFR, PDGFR, TRK, VEGFR families) and 32 cytosolic TKs (e.g., ABL, FAK, JAK, SRC families).
