Target Information

EGFR (Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor, HER1, ErbB1) is encoded by the EGFR gene located on chromosome 7 in humans. It belongs to the HER/ERbB family of receptor tyrosine kinases, including ERbB2, ERbB3, and ERbB4.
EGFR activation through ligand binding (e.g., EGF, TGF-α) induces dimerization and autophosphorylation, triggering downstream signaling cascades such as Ras-ERK, PI3K-Akt, Jak-STAT, and PKC pathways.
Phosphorylation at specific sites, including Y1086, facilitates adaptor protein GRB2 binding and MAPK pathway activation.
EGFR mutations, including L858R, are associated with lung cancer and other malignancies. Overexpression or activation correlates with poor prognosis in various tumors, including those of the head, neck, brain, bladder, stomach, breast, lung, and more.
This antibody is specific for EGFR (mutant L858R).
