Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

The protein encoded by BAD is a member of the BCL-2 family, known to regulate programmed cell death.
BAD positively regulates apoptosis by forming heterodimers with BCL-xL and BCL-2, reversing their death repressor activity.
Its proapoptotic activity is regulated through phosphorylation involving AKT, MAP kinase, and calcineurin.
Alternative splicing of the BAD gene produces two transcript variants encoding the same isoform.
