Product Specific Information
The OKT3 monoclonal antibody reacts with an epitope on the epsilon-subunit within the human CD3 complex. This antibody has potent immunosuppressive properties and has been effective in treating renal, heart, and liver allograft rejection. CD3 is expressed by thymocytes and all mature T cells, playing a vital role in TCR assembly and activation.

- Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for use at 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test on human peripheral blood cells
- Recommended Filters: 710/50 bandpass (preferred), 695/40 bandpass (alternative)
- Fixation: Use IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark
- Excitation: 488 nm
- Emission: 710 nm

Target Information
The CD3 complex transduces antigen-recognition signals into T cells and regulates TCR surface expression. It consists of CD3 gamma, delta, epsilon, and zeta subunits, encoded on chromosome 11. CD3 is expressed on most T lymphocytes and thymocytes but not on B or NK cells. Defects in CD3 genes are associated with CD3 immunodeficiency.
