Product Specific Information
This antibody recognizes Grb2, a highly conserved approximately 26 kDa intracellular adaptor protein.
The immunogen has 100% identity between human, cow, rat, and mouse.
Western Blot: Reducing conditions.
Target Information
GRB2 protein contains one SH2 domain flanked by two SH3 domains.
In response to EGF, GRB2 binds through its SH3 domains to the guanine nucleotide exchange factor Sos.
The GRB2–Sos complex then associates with the EGF receptor, playing a critical role in activation of the p21 ras signaling pathway.
