Target Information
The CtBP1 gene encodes a phosphoprotein that binds to the C-terminus of adenovirus E1A proteins. It acts as a transcriptional repressor and may play a role in cellular proliferation. CtBP1 and CtBP2 can dimerize and interact with polycomb group protein complexes involved in gene expression regulation during development.
Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.
