Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody SolA15 recognizes mouse and rat Ki-67, a 300 kDa nuclear protein expressed during all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, and M), but absent from resting cells (G0). Ki-67 redistributes from the nucleus to chromosomes during mitosis and serves as a marker for cell proliferation.
SolA15 also recognizes human, non-human primate, and canine Ki-67.
Reported applications include flow cytometric analysis and intracellular staining.
Tested Application:
Intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis of stimulated mouse splenocytes using the Foxp3/Transcription Factor Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00). Recommended use ≤0.06 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody titration is recommended for optimal results.

Target Information
Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during late G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cycle. It associates with euchromatin, centromeric heterochromatin, and the nucleolus. Ki-67 expression varies topographically across cell cycle phases and is absent in G0 cells, making it a reliable proliferation marker. Ki-67 antibodies are commonly used to determine cell growth fractions in neoplasms and correlate strongly with tumor grade and prognosis.
