Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform additional desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

MEF2C is a transcription activator binding specifically to the MEF2 element in regulatory regions of many muscle-specific genes. It controls cardiac morphogenesis, myogenesis, and vascular development. MEF2C plays an essential role in hippocampal-dependent learning and memory, regulating synaptic transmission and neuronal development. It is crucial for normal neocortex function, megakaryocyte and platelet development, and B-cell survival and proliferation. MEF2C is also involved in neurogenesis and cortical architecture development. Isoforms lacking the repressor domain (3 and 4) are more active than isoforms 1 and 2.
