Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

MEF2C is a transcription activator that binds specifically to the MEF2 element in regulatory regions of many muscle-specific genes.
It controls cardiac morphogenesis and myogenesis, and is involved in vascular development.
Plays an essential role in hippocampal-dependent learning and memory, regulating synaptic transmission and neuronal development.
Necessary for proper development of megakaryocytes, platelets, and B lymphopoiesis.
Required for B-cell survival and proliferation in response to BCR stimulation and normal induction of germinal center B cells.
May also play a role in neurogenesis and cortical architecture development.
Isoforms 3 and 4, lacking the repressor domain, are more active than isoforms 1 and 2.
