Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain an antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Catalase is a homotetrameric heme-containing enzyme located within the peroxisome matrix. It catalyzes the conversion of hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen.
Human catalase includes the C-terminal sequence (-KANL) for peroxisome targeting, and each monomer has a molecular weight of approximately 61.3 kDa.
Catalase plays key roles in inflammation, mutagenesis, apoptosis prevention, and tumor progression.
Deficiency in catalase activity causes the human genetic disorder acatalasemia (Takahara's disease).
