Target Information
CDK17 (cyclin Y serine/threonine kinase, or cyclin-dependent kinase 17) belongs to the cdc2/cdkx subfamily of kinases. CDK17/cyclin Y shares similarity with a rat protein thought to play a role in terminally differentiated neurons. The identification of a large family of cdc2-related kinases suggests combinatorial regulation of the cell cycle together with the large family of cyclins.
