Product Specific Information
In Western blots, this antibody reacts with full-length mouse Kininogen (aa 21–661), but not with the light chain alone.
No cross-reactivity observed with recombinant human Cystatin D, F, SA, SN, recombinant mouse Cystatin A, B, C, E/M, rmCystatin/Stefin Homolog, rmFetuin A, rhFetuin B, rmHPRG, rhKininogen, or rhKininostatin.
Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
The Kininogen 1 gene uses alternative splicing to generate two proteins: high molecular weight kininogen (HMWK) and low molecular weight kininogen (LMWK).
- HMWK: Essential for blood coagulation and assembly of the kallikrein-kinin system. Bradykinin, a peptide causing physiological effects, is released from HMWK.
- LMWK: Not involved in blood coagulation.
Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
