Human Rad1 is a homolog of Schizosaccharomyces pombe Rad1.
Suggested positive control: HeLa whole cell lysate, 293 whole cell lysate, NIH-3T3 whole cell lysate.
Target Information
Rad1 is a component of a heterotrimeric PCNA-like complex containing Rad9 and Hus1 proteins. This complex forms the 9-1-1 cell cycle checkpoint response complex, which plays a major role in DNA repair by associating with Rad17 and replication factor C.
Mutants have been shown to partially restore radiation resistance and G2-checkpoint activity. Rad1 also possesses exonuclease activity.
