Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that mediates signaling in response to growth factors. Overexpression of EGFR is associated with various cancers and serves as a target for biological and small molecule therapeutics.
The EGFR gene is located on chromosome 7 and belongs to the HER/ERbB family, which includes ERbB2, ERbB3, and ERbB4.
EGFR is a transmembrane receptor; ligand binding (e.g., EGF, TGF-α) induces receptor dimerization and autophosphorylation of cytoplasmic tyrosine residues.
Overexpression is observed in tumors of the head and neck, brain, bladder, stomach, breast, lung, endometrium, cervix, vulva, ovary, esophagus, and squamous cell carcinoma.
