Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The NCF4 gene encodes a cytosolic regulatory component of the superoxide-producing phagocyte NADPH oxidase, a multicomponent enzyme system essential for host defense. NCF4 is predominantly expressed in myeloid lineage cells and interacts with NCF2 (p67-phox) and NCF1 (p47-phox) to form a complex that associates with RAC1 and translocates to the membrane upon stimulation. This complex activates flavocytochrome b, the membrane-integrated catalytic core of the enzyme system. The PX domain binds phospholipid products of PI(3) kinase, suggesting a role in PI(3) kinase-mediated signaling. Phosphorylation negatively regulates enzyme activity. Alternative splicing generates distinct isoforms.
