For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The CD40 antigen is a single-chain glycoprotein belonging to the tumor necrosis factor/nerve growth factor superfamily and shows significant homology to the Hodgkin’s disease-associated antigen CD30.
CD40 is expressed on all B cells except plasma cells and is also found on certain epithelial cells, carcinomas, and lymphoid dendritic cells. It plays a critical role in immune and inflammatory responses, including T cell-dependent immunoglobulin class switching, memory B cell development, and germinal center formation.
CD40 interaction with its ligand is necessary for amyloid-beta-induced microglial activation, suggesting its involvement in Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis.
Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
Diseases associated with CD40 dysfunction include Type 3 Hyper-IgM immunodeficiency and CD40 ligand deficiency.
