Target Information
TGF-beta-activated kinase 1 and MAP3K7-binding protein 1 (TAB1)는 MAP kinase kinase kinase MAP3K7/TAK1의 조절자로, TGF beta, interleukin 1, WNT-1 등에 의해 유도되는 다양한 세포 내 신호 경로를 매개한다. TAB1은 TAK1 kinase를 활성화하며, TAB1의 C-말단은 TAK1 결합 및 활성화에 충분한 반면, N-말단 일부는 TGF beta의 dominant-negative 억제자로 작용한다. 또한 TAB1은 MAPK14/p38alpha를 활성화하여 MAPKK 경로 외의 대체 활성화 경로를 제공하며, 다양한 자극에 대한 MAPK14의 생물학적 반응에 기여한다.
