Product Specific Information
- 1 µg/mL of MA5-27610 detects KCC2 in 10 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as secondary antibody.
- Detects approximately 140 kDa protein.
- Formerly sold as clone S1-12.
Target Information
KCC2 mediates electroneutral potassium-chloride cotransport in mature neurons. Transport occurs under isotonic conditions but is activated up to 20-fold by cell swelling. It plays a critical role in maintaining Cl⁻ homeostasis in neurons.
