Product Specific Information

  • 1 µg/mL of MA5-27611 detects AMIGO-1 in 20 µg of rat brain membrane lysate using colorimetric immunoblot analysis with goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as secondary antibody.
  • Detects bands at approximately 60–80 kDa depending on maturity/glycosylation.
  • Formerly sold as clone S86-36.

Target Information

AMIGO1 promotes growth and fasciculation of neurites from cultured hippocampal neurons. It may be involved in myelination and regeneration of neural axons, contributing to neural plasticity in the adult nervous system. AMIGO1 mediates cell-cell interactions and participates in signal transduction through its intracellular domain. When assembled with KCNB1, it modulates the gating characteristics of the delayed rectifier voltage-dependent potassium channel KCNB1.
