IFITM1 (Interferon inducible transmembrane protein 1)는 IFN-inducible transmembrane protein family에 속하며, interferon-gamma에 의해 유도되는 항증식 반응의 주요 매개체입니다. 세포 성장 조절에 관여하며 여러 종양 유형에서 발현이 증가되어 종양 바이오마커로 활용될 수 있습니다. 또한 IFITM1과 IFITM3는 원시 생식세포의 발달 과정 중 세포 표면에 발현되며, IFITM1은 비발현 세포를 중배엽에서 내배엽으로 밀어내는 반발성 분자로 작용합니다.
