This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

ADAM12 is a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease-like domain) family. Two forms of ADAM12 have been described: ADAM12S (short form) and ADAM12L (long form).

• ADAM12S: Soluble form lacking transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains.
• ADAM12L: Full-length form with transmembrane region.

The short form of ADAM12 has been reported to provoke myogenesis, and its lack of cytoplasmic domain suggests different regulation pathways, although both forms can be expressed in the same tissue.
