This peptide corresponds to a 15 amino acid sequence near the center of human CNRIP1.
PEP-1589 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-34546.
For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with an equal volume of antibody for 30 minutes at 37°C.
Target Information
The CNRIP1 (cannabinoid receptor interacting protein 1) protein is a G-protein coupled receptor-interacting protein that binds to the C-terminal tail of cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1).
It is implicated in synaptic plasticity, analgesia, appetite regulation, and neuroprotection.
One isoform, CNRIP1a, modulates constitutive CB1 receptor activity in the central nervous system (CNS), while the function of the shorter isoform CNRIP1b remains unknown.
CNRIP1 is considered a potential target for CNS drug discovery.
