Target Information
MIG, also known as CXCL9, is a T-cell chemoattractant inducible by gamma interferon and a member of the CXC chemokine family. This gene is mapped to chromosome 4q21. Chemokines are known for their role as chemotactic factors, but they also influence T-cell activation, angiogenesis, and HIV infection. Unlike most CXC chemokines that attract neutrophils, MIG and INP10 are unique in being chemotactic for lymphocytes while inactive in neutrophils.
