Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 30% cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-18 is observed.
- 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat IL-18 and recombinant mouse IL-18 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a proinflammatory cytokine that can induce IFN-gamma production in T cells.
Combined with IL-12, it inhibits IL-4-dependent IgE and IgG1 production, while enhancing IgG2a production in B cells.
IL-18 binding protein can specifically interact with this cytokine and negatively regulate its biological activity.
