Description:
The HMD1-5 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Delta-like 1 (DLL1), one of five type I transmembrane proteins that serve as Notch receptor ligands. Upon binding to Notch receptors (Notch 1–4), DLL1 undergoes proteolytic cleavage by ADAM-family metalloproteases and gamma-secretase. The intracellular fragment released has a controversial biological role. DLL1 is expressed by thymic stromal cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, and splenic stromal cells, as well as in nonhematopoietic tissues such as lung and brain. DLL1 is linked to B cell development, differentiation (especially marginal zone and plasma cells), regulation of splenic dendritic cells, and leukemogenesis.

• Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:

• Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and transfected cells.
• Recommended use ≤ 0.25 µg/test (in 100 µL final volume).
• Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test (empirically determined).
• Antibody should be titrated for optimal performance.

Target Information

Delta-like protein 1 (DLL1):
