Target Information
Cytokeratin 8은 type II keratin 계열 단백질로, 염색체 12의 장완에 위치합니다. Type I keratin과 이합체를 형성하여 상피세포의 중간 필라멘트를 구성하며, 세포 구조 유지, 신호 전달, 세포 분화에 관여합니다.
Cytokeratin 8은 일반적으로 keratin 18과 함께 단층 상피세포에서 중간 필라멘트를 형성합니다. 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 cryptogenic cirrhosis와 관련이 있습니다.
