Target Information
XRCC6 forms a nuclear complex with two subunits (~70 and ~80 kDa) functioning as a single-stranded DNA-dependent, ATP-dependent helicase. This complex is involved in nonhomologous DNA end repair, including double-strand break repair, transposition, and V(D)J recombination. Elevated autoantibodies to p70 and p80 have been observed in some patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.
