Target Information

Semaphorins are neuronal chemorepellants that guide pioneering neurons during nervous system development.
CD100 (also known as Semaphorin 4D) is a 150 kDa homodimer that induces B cell aggregation and enhances their viability in vitro.
It modulates CD40-CD40L B cell signaling by promoting B cell aggregation and survival while downregulating CD23 expression.
CD72 serves as a lymphocyte receptor for CD100, playing a role in B cell signaling regulation.
CD100 is expressed on resting and PHA-stimulated T cells, weakly on NK cells, EBV-transformed B cells, monocytes, and tumor/peripheral blood T cell lines, and at higher levels on activated T and B cells.
