• AA Sequence of recombinant protein:

• Preparation:
  Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human PTHrP. Anti-Human PTHrP-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

• Sandwich ELISA:
  To detect hPTHrP by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required.
  This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human PTHrP (500-P276) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hPTHrP.

• Western Blot:
  For detection of hPTHrP by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
  With compatible secondary reagents, detection limit for Recombinant hPTHrP is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

• Packaging:
  500-P276BT-1MG will be provided as 2 × 500 µg.

Target Information

The protein encoded by the PTHLH gene is a member of the parathyroid hormone family. It regulates endochondral bone development and epithelial–mesenchymal interactions during mammary gland and tooth formation. It is also involved in lactation by regulating calcium mobilization and transfer to milk.
The receptor, PTHR1, is responsible for most cases of humoral hypercalcemia of malignancy. Four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms have been observed. Alternative translation initiation from non-AUG (CUG and GUG) start sites may produce nuclear forms of this hormone.
