Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 20% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse CA14 is observed.
- Less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human CA1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
CA14 belongs to a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide.
The protein is predicted to be a type I membrane protein and shares the highest sequence similarity with the other transmembrane CA isoform, CA XII.
However, they have different patterns of tissue-specific expression and may play distinct physiological roles.
