Antibody detects endogenous levels of BACH1 only when phosphorylated at Ser445.
Target Information
BACH1.3 is a transcription factor belonging to the cap‘n’collar type basic region leucine zipper factor family (CNC-bZip).
It contains BTB/POZ domains that facilitate protein-protein interactions and formation of homo/hetero oligomers.
When forming a heterodimer with MafK, it functions as a repressor of Maf recognition element (MARE), leading to transcriptional repression.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified. Some exons overlap with those of C21orf41, transcribed in the opposite orientation but not encoding a protein.
