Antibody detects endogenous levels of CDC34 only when phosphorylated at Ser71.

Target Information

CDC34 accepts ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins.

• Catalyzes Lys-48–linked polyubiquitination in vitro.
• Cooperates with E2 UBCH5C and SCF (FBXW11) E3 ligase complex for polyubiquitination of NFKBIA, leading to proteasomal degradation.
• Performs ubiquitin chain elongation from UBE2D3-primed NFKBIA-linked ubiquitin.
• Regulates cell proliferation via SCF (SKP2) E3 ligase complex through ubiquitination and degradation of MYBL2 and KIP1.
• Involved in degradation of CREM isoform ICERIIgamma and ATF15, abrogating their repression of cAMP-induced transcription.
• Regulates G2/M phase by targeting WEE1 kinase for ubiquitination and degradation.
• Also involved in degradation of beta-catenin.
• Target of human herpes virus 1 protein ICP0, leading to ICP0-dependent interaction with proteasomes.
