Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Improved specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to the larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

Adrenergic receptors (ARs) are members of the 7-transmembrane domain G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily that bind endogenous catecholamines epinephrine and norepinephrine.
Nine receptor subtypes have been identified:

  • Alpha-1 AR: 1A/D, 1B, 1C
  • Alpha-2 AR: 2A, 2B, 2C
  • Beta AR: 1, 2, 3

ARs are involved in the onset or maintenance of various disease states including hypertension, cardiac dysfunction (congestive heart failure, ischemia, arrhythmias), diabetes, glaucoma, depression, and impotence.
