Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
GADD153 (also known as CHOP) is a small nuclear protein that can dimerize with transcription factors C/EBP alpha and beta. This dimer inhibits the normal binding and function of C/EBP to classical binding sites, while gaining binding activity to non-classical, stress-related targets.
Under normal conditions, GADD153 is not expressed at detectable levels but is highly upregulated during cellular or ER stress. Inducing stress conditions include treatment with tunicamycin, nutrient starvation, and reducing agents that interfere with calcium flux across the ER membrane.
