CDK2/cyclinO는 CyclinO와 복합체를 이루는 세포주기 의존성 단백질 키나제 계열의 구성원입니다. CyclinO는 UNG 유전자와 관련된 핵 내 특이 단백질 아이소폼으로, uracil-DNA glycosylase 활성을 나타내는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
CDK2/cyclinO 단백질 수준은 G1 phase 동안 증가하며, 세포주기 진행 중에 분해됩니다. Cyclin A-CDK2 복합체는 G1/S 전이에 최대 수준에 도달하며, DNA 복제 개시 복합체에서 DNA와 결합되어 있습니다. Rb 단백질은 CDK2-Cyclin E 및/또는 CDK2-Cyclin A의 기질로 작용합니다. CDK2는 late G1, S, G2 phase 동안 활성화되어 핵 내로 특이적으로 이동합니다.
