Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The SMN complex plays a catalytic role in assembling small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNPs), essential components of the spliceosome. This complex is crucial for pre-mRNA splicing. Most spliceosomal snRNPs include a core of Sm proteins (SNRPB, SNRPD1, SNRPD2, SNRPD3, SNRPE, SNRPF, SNRPG) that form a heptameric ring on the small nuclear RNA. The SMN complex facilitates the release of Sm proteins from the 6S pICln-Sm complex and promotes their assembly into core snRNPs for nuclear transport.
