- PA1-845 detects amplified in breast cancer 1 (AIB1) from human tissues and cells.
- Successfully used in Western blot procedures.
- Detects an ~155 kDa protein representing AIB1 from T47D cell lysate.
- Immunogen: synthetic peptide corresponding to residues G(3) L G E N L D P L A S D S(15) C of human AIB1.
- Can be used with blocking peptide PEP-049.
Target Information
AIB1-AC3 recognizes AIB1, a member of the SRC-1 family of nuclear receptor coactivators with an apparent molecular weight of ~160 kDa.
The AIB1 gene is mapped to region 20q12 and is known to be amplified in breast tumors and pancreatic cancer cell lines.
AIB1 interacts in a ligand-dependent manner with the estrogen receptor to enhance estrogen-dependent transcriptional gene activation.
