Target Information
CCR4-NOT Transcription Complex 2 (CNOT2) is a component of the CCR4-NOT complex, a major cellular mRNA deadenylase linked to processes such as bulk mRNA degradation, miRNA-mediated repression, translational repression during initiation, and general transcription regulation.
CNOT2 is essential for structural integrity of the CCR4-NOT complex and may connect it to transcriptional regulation through the N-Cor repressor complex (HDAC3, NCOR1, NCOR2).
