Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of a mixture of multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies.

These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot contains a known mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility and eliminating biological variability associated with traditional polyclonal antibodies.

Target Information

Cardiac Troponin T is the tropomyosin-binding subunit of the troponin complex, located on the thin filament of striated muscles. It regulates muscle contraction in response to intracellular calcium ion concentration changes and is essential for proper muscle function and myofibril formation.

In the human heart, four cTnT isoforms are expressed in a developmentally regulated manner. Cardiac Troponin T expression is affected by heart failure, and mutations in this protein are associated with familial hypertrophic and dilated cardiomyopathies. The gene undergoes alternative splicing, producing multiple tissue-specific isoforms.
