Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45258 was sufficient for detection of Piccolo in 20 µg of rat brain tissue lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using goat IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects approximately 550 kDa. No cross-reactivity to Bassoon.
Target Information
The PCLO gene encodes a protein that is part of the presynaptic cytoskeletal matrix, involved in establishing active synaptic zones and synaptic vesicle trafficking. Variations in this gene have been associated with bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
