This affinity purified antibody targets the 6X HIS epitope tag, useful for detecting overexpressed proteins in various assays. It recognizes the His-His-His-His-His-His sequence fused to either N- or C-terminus of target proteins in transfected or transformed cells.

Target Information

The 6x His tag is a synthetic oligopeptide consisting of six consecutive histidine residues (HHHHHH). It is commonly fused to recombinant proteins to enable purification via immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC).
His-tagged proteins bind strongly to Ni²⁺ ions, allowing efficient purification using Ni²⁺-NTA adsorbents.
His tag-specific antibodies facilitate detection or co-immunoprecipitation of tagged proteins.
