Chromogranin A (CHGA)는 신경내분비 분비 단백질 계열인 chromogranin/secretogranin 패밀리의 구성원입니다. 신경세포 및 내분비세포의 분비 소포에서 발견되며, vasostatin, pancreastatin, parastatin의 전구체 역할을 합니다. 이러한 펩타이드는 신경내분비 시스템의 자가/국소 음성 조절자로 작용합니다.
CHGA는 carcinoid 종양, pheochromocytoma, paraganglioma 및 기타 신경내분비 종양의 우수한 마커로 알려져 있으며, neuron specific enolase (NSE)와의 공발현이 흔하게 관찰됩니다.
