Chromogranin A (CHGA)는 신경내분비 분비 단백질 계열인 chromogranin/secretogranin 패밀리의 구성원으로, 뉴런 및 내분비 세포의 분비 소포에 존재합니다.
CHGA는 vasostatin, pancreastatin, parastatin의 전구체로, 이들 펩타이드는 신경내분비계의 자가 또는 측분비 음성 조절자로 작용합니다.
CHGA는 카르시노이드 종양, 갈색세포종, 부신경절종 및 기타 신경내분비 종양의 우수한 마커로 사용됩니다.
또한 Chromogranin A와 neuron specific enolase (NSE)의 공발현은 신경내분비 종양에서 흔히 관찰됩니다.
