Target Information
CD36 (scavenger receptor class B member 3)은 대식세포, 혈소판, 지방세포 등 다양한 세포 표면에 발현되는 단백질로, 지질 대사, 염증, 죽상동맥경화에 관여합니다. 산화된 저밀도지단백질(oxidized LDL), 장쇄 지방산, 세포사멸 세포 등 여러 리간드의 인식 및 흡수를 매개하며, 말라리아 병인에도 관련이 있습니다.
혈소판과 여러 세포주에서 thrombospondin 수용체로 작용하며, 혈소판 표면의 주요 당단백질 중 하나입니다. CD36은 collagen, thrombospondin, 음이온성 인지질, 산화 LDL과 결합하고, Plasmodium falciparum 감염 적혈구의 부착을 직접 매개합니다.
이 유전자의 돌연변이는 혈소판 당단백질 결핍을 유발할 수 있으며, 여러 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되어 있습니다. CD36 관련 질환으로는 Platelet Glycoprotein IV Deficiency 및 Coronary Heart Disease 7이 있습니다.
