Product Specific Information
The 6H6 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD123, the alpha chain of the IL-3 receptor. This 60–70 kDa transmembrane protein binds IL-3 with low affinity alone, and with CD131 (common beta chain) forms a high-affinity receptor complex. CD123 is expressed by myeloid precursors, macrophages, dendritic cells, mast cells, basophils, and megakaryocytes.

- Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for flow cytometry on normal human peripheral blood cells; use at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).

- Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered
Target Information
IL-3Ra (Interleukin-3 receptor subunit alpha) is part of the type I cytokine receptor family and forms a heterodimer with the common beta (CDw131) subunit. It mediates IL-3 signal transduction, where heterodimerization is induced by IL-3. IL-3Ra is overexpressed on acute myeloid leukemia (AML) blasts compared with normal hematopoietic cells, making it a potential target for novel therapeutic approaches.
