Antibiotic sensitivity discs are used to determine the effectiveness of an antibiotic against a microorganism as a guide to antibiotic therapy.
The disc contains a specific concentration of an antibiotic (in mcg) tested against a microorganism of standard density, uniformly swabbed on an appropriate medium and incubated overnight.
Each kit includes:
- 3 vials of SD040 Cefotaxime (Cephotaxime) 30 mcg
- 3 vials of SD724 Cefotaxime (Cephotaxime)/Clavulanic acid 30/10 mcg
