Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Diacylglycerol (DAG) acts as an intracellular activator of protein kinase C (PKC) and guanine nucleotide exchange factors, influencing numerous signaling cascades. Diacylglycerol kinases (DGKs) regulate DAG levels by phosphorylating it to phosphatidic acid.
Human DGKs are classified into five types:
- Type I: DGK-α, -β, -γ (contain EF-hand motifs)
- Type II: DGK-δ, -ι (contain PH domains)
- Type III: DGK-ε (no identifiable regulatory domain)
- Type IV: DGK-Ω, -ι (contain C-terminal ankyrin repeats)
- Type V: DGK-θ (contains cysteine-rich domains and a PH domain)
